It was around 6:30 a.m. when Ian and I headed out with our cameras in order to photograph the aftermath, a.k.a. New Year’s Day.
What we saw blew my mind. Just the night before, the skies were lit with beauty and it seemed there was no better way to welcome 2012. The morning after though told otherwise, trash and broken glass everywhere, many still partying, many passed out in the streets.
Debauchery.
Definitely quite a way to bring in the New Year.
Humans are disgusting!!! Personal resposibility should be our new battle cry. We nee to set higher expectations and accept nothing less. I’m sure this city was trying to do something nice for it’s people and this is the thanks they get. Disturbing, yet a common sight.
I agree Reba, it is disturbing and yet too common of a sight. Higher expectations indeed.
Siempre en Valparaiso, queda así de sucio, pero el nivel de destrucción que veo en estas fotos es impresionante, este es el único año que no lo paso allá y realmente me sorprendió!!!
