El Norte Grande. The altiplano, where like anywhere, the natives were here long before the lines were drawn. They’re hard people, built for a life of harsh conditions, but they´re also so very lovely. One thing for sure, Western culture definitely has a heavy hand in their lives. This is unavoidable.
So the whole point of the day was to arrive to the Parque Nacional Volcán Isluga. From my other volcano experiences, this one differed greatly. I had pictured your typical cone-shaped mountain, but this was a giant smoking bulge. And what looked like clouds were actually little puffs of smoke.
